Sisters (repost)

Reposted on February 12, 2011. For my sister.

This was written for my sister, Linda. If I wrote in every language on the planet trying to describe how much I love, adore and cherish my sister, I would still not have enough words. Our bond is as gentle and delicate as it is strong and unbreakable. No matter what, no matter why, how or when our love has remained intact.

The original of this poem is somewhere, in a box. It was done in pen and had a drawing underneath it. My sister and I, arms around each others backs, looking up at a single star in night sky. There must be a reason this is such a short little poem. To me, the few words say it all. I love you sis!

A sister near

A sister dear

A sister with whom

I’ve shed a tear

A sister far

As sisters are

We wish upon

The same bright star

    That was brilliant
    like the star
    that you wished upon
    once upon a time
    my sister Linda
    is my best friend
and whom on I always depend
    maybe it’s sister’s named Linda
    that are brilliant too 🙂
    thanks for sharing yours

Thank you so much, how cool we both have sisters with the same name! It’s just a simple kind of childish little poem, but when you have a sister that you love so deeply, trying to write about it defies words. Thanks for visiting, I’m glad that you did.
