Crystal Eye

Crystal Eye

A crystal eye came into focus

In the darkness of my mind

Clear and knowing winked at me

My own eyes rendered blind

Some things worth seeing

Not always clear

Others worth hearing

Do not penetrate my ear

Speaking, that’s another story

Silence is the key

For words, like duel edge swords

Have been the death of me

Three righteous monkeys come to mind

Knowing evil is their rival

We all repel what shames us

And wait for our revival

Crystal eye  leave if you must

Your presence will ever linger

Patient and hopeful for your return

As a song  awaits its  singer

Haunting, beautiful, memorable. Thank you for sharing – please don’t ever stop writing (and sharing!). ❤ :o)

  2. Linda Adcock says:

This one is very spiritual – a lot of bible verses came to mind as I was reading it especially
Hebrews 4:12 For the WORD of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.

  3. Dani H says:

Joanne…. what can I say? Amazing, awesome, brilliant ~ every verse it’s own story, but woven together beautifully! I’m going to come let the muse out if you don’t do it soon.
