Lost Day

Posted: December 2, 2010 in Uncategorized

A day

Lost

In a haze

In a daze

Of pain

Of discouragement

Has a purpose

A meaning

A definition

A reason

*****

A lost day

Can act as a gauge

A stage

A page

To correct

To reflect

To perfect

*****

Never look back

Over your naked shoulder

On what is gone

On what is lost

On what is not forgiven

*****

See the future

Find the moment

Reach

Far and wide

Grab on to tomorrow

*****

Tomorrow can’t hide yesterday’s pain

Nor its brutal indecision

*****

At this juncture

I cast all doubts

All insecurities

All tears

Into the pitted valley of yesterday

A lost day

An isolated blip

A renewal of courage

Awareness of human limitation

*****

I shall take comfort

Tomorrow

Feeling stronger

Amazed

At the power I behold

To have gotten through

today…..yesterday

A lost day

  4. Thank you all so very much. This came from nowhere. I wrote it in less than 5 minutes then read it. It surprised me with its hopefulness. A wonderful surprise that it is still intact. Hope. Sometimes it is all that matters. ❤
