Untitled 3

Posted: April 5, 2010 in Uncategorized

I came across this in my stuff. It’s not dated or initialed which is unusual for me. I believe I wrote it on a Thanksgiving morning, but am not sure. The handwriting is pretty and not terribly rushed. So, that being said….here are some more words.

Untitled 3

Thanksgiving…

     for an existence

     requiring much persistance

     steering straight on rocky roads

fog obscuring the clarity to negotiate

Thanksgiving…

     for smiles

     quiet rewards of love

relationships that fit like a glove

miles of hard work,  just because it needs to be done

     exhaustion, justified

Thanksgiving…

     for remembering precious times

life’s remarkable record keeping polishes an shines

     the pictures never taken

vividly imprinted on the paper of a mind

Thanksgiving…

     for looking forward to freedom

     to pass along unique wisdom

sharing the knowledge only hardship can teach

     for if everything was easy

there would be no stories to tell

Thanksgiving…

     for now

     for the present

     for the moment

basking in the light of togetherness

the song of loved ones communicating

the voice that we all have to say “thank you”

the heart and mind that will hold on and keep sacred this special day

Undated

Thank you Caroline and Randy, as always. This came about during a very sentimental moment. I just can not recall exactly which moment that was. 🙂 Hugs to you!
